Dancing raindrops….

Windy and rainy day here with branches bending while birds try to snuggle down in their nests. Cars drive slowly through the downpours of rain. The neighborhood is quiet except for the sound of raindrops hitting the roof and the windows.

Gazing through my home office window, I notice the pond across the street. A most beautiful sight! Raindrops appear to be dancing back and forth on top of the water as if they are chasing each other. I imagine music playing to their “drop drop plop plop” in the pond.

Amazing to watch! Each raindrop falls from the sky while many other raindrops follow along. Looks like an orchestrated event.

Once again, God has given us beauty in His creations. Dancing raindrops….

Have a blessed week and watch for His blessings,
Mimi

  1. What a lovely photo! I like rainy days. I just don’t like wet shoes! I tend to wear my winter boots long into spring so I don’t have to worry. Thanks for a gentle break to think about the pleasures of a soothing rain, Melissa!

  2. Hi Melissa,

Thank you for your blog post “Mimi On Life”.

Your first two paragraphs created a fantasy place in my imagination because you write so vividly.

Yes, sure, God has given us beauty in Nature so we can enjoy it.

    God bless!

  4. I’m watching the drops as well. These are from the melting snow on the roof. Living in Wydaho means an average snowfall of 500 inches on our ski slopes. It take a lot of melting. Not my favorite thing to see because I like to play in the snow… a lot.

And because it means the beginning of Mud season. Most of our roads are gravel and it gets messy. For a LONG time. Most of us take off to warmer climates for a while so we can miss the mud!

  5. Melissa, I could just picture the scene as you described the water droplets on the pond. That talent will greatly enrich your stories! Thanks for the post.

  6. Melissa, I so enjoy the images you painted with words! I love the sound of rain tapping on windows and our roof. I have an app only phone that plays the rain sounds. I listen to it when I’m on a flight and need to sleep. πŸ™‚

  7. It’s been raining here too the past few days – a rare and very welcome event in our drought-ridden part of the country!

It’s soothing and as a gardener I am so excited and thankful because I know all my plants perk up, bloom, and blossom after a good rain. πŸ™‚

  8. There is nothing more wonderful and relaxing than watching rain on a warm day. It’s the little things in life that shows us how much God cares for all humanity. Love it! What a blessing.

  9. What a beautiful description. Love watching and listening to raindrops. God’s blessings. His nourishment for us and our earth. He completes our needs….sometimes they are small but they are there….look for them.

  10. Mimi, when I was a kid in Cincy, it rained all the time. I remember watching the drops pound and splatter on the black topped driveway and imagining it was people joyfully dancing! πŸŽ‰β€οΈ

  11. It was beautiful to read this once again! I have been so busy trying to get my first product on my website, that I’ve forgotten to look around at God’s beautiful creation this week. Thanks for this reminder!
